Happy to announce that Fancy *bantum, black, mother of 5 last season* is at present sitting on a clutch of eggs. Will keep you informed on her clutch.

Miss Prissy's *mother of 5 last season* 9 chicks are doing well and have been adopted by one of the ducks *Derek*. He sleeps in front of the chick box and follows them around all day, he even saved them from a Hawk which was looking for a chicken dinner yesterday.

Very sad to announce that our house chook Phoebe (see attached pic) died peacefully in her sleep. She is now resting peacefully in the Kim and Murray Memorial Gardens for house pets. Missed by all that enjoyed her eggs.

what kind of goat do you have? I heard that goats are good at getting rid of goats - I guess it can't tell weeds from the 'real' thing?
Your photo's show wire cages covering one area in the veggie patch, how do you keep your chooks out the rest of the veggie patch?

Wow, you have heaps of room for a veggie patch! and it all looks so wonderfully green (I always thought WA was much drier but may parents who live near Perth tell me they've had heaps of rain lately). Good luck with growing everything.
