There is so much out there in the garden waiting for me to do at this time of year!! So much is starting to 'burst forth' as the days lengthen and warm up. For some reason all 4 of my eggplants have died completely and my capsicums and chillis are not looking well - some research needed! Anyideas? There have been enough carrots and greens over winter to fill our stir fys and salads, and feed a cage of endlessly hungry guinea pigs though. The 'engine room' (compost, worm farm etc) of the garden is stacked with all the good stuff waiting to be spread around - the nutrient hungry citrus are calling to me daily for their share. As soon as this rain stops, I will shut down this computer and get into it.......!

Yes, slugs have been a huge problem here as well. I have them under resonable control now using a combination of things. Mainly beer traps and the kids and I occassionally have slug hunting trips to the garden. Chooks (well the chooks that my nieghbour has) don't like slugs, so in that area they are useless.
It would be great to swop produce, I don't have any excess of anything at the moment. We did have lots of pecan nuts (we do every year) but we have given them away to visitors.
